The cycle path is 111 kilometers long and connects Traismauer by the Danube with the pilgrimage place of Mariazell. Thanks to its scenic beauty and the versatile surroundings ranging from the gentle hills of the vineyards to the summits of the foothills of the Alps, it is one of the most charming cycle paths of Austria. St. Poelten, the capital of the province of Lower Austria, impresses with its splendid Baroque houses, delicate Jugendstil buildings, and exceptional modern architecture. Bathing and leisure time fun is offered at the “Lake Experience” recreational area amidst St. Poelten and directly at the Traisental Cycle Path.
