Privathotel Das-Schmidt

Holiday gem on Lake Neusiedl

A hotel to soak up life’s sunny moments. This charming holiday establishment with a very personal atmosphere is available to book for a private holiday in a tranquil, relaxed atmosphere – away from mass tourism; no tour groups; no seminars.

Das-Schmidt is a private family-run hotel situated right on the intersection of the Lake Neusiedl Cycle Trail not far from the bike ferry which connects the east and west shores of the lake. Nature is at your fingertips if you go cycling in the Neusiedlersee National Park; plus, Mörbisch and the lake is also listed as a World Heritage Site. Just a few metres further and you can be off exploring Hungarian lands, but don’t forget your passport!

After an eventful day on your bike, it’s great to relax at the Viteus Spa or the Viteus Refugium, the private spa, or at the Roman Bath House with indoor pool, saunas, brine whirlpool, brine quiet room, or book a rejuvenating treatment. The wellness treatments at our hotel are exclusive pampering treatments using Pannonian healing chalk, grape seed oil, pomace, wine sediment and grape-based cosmetics.

The holiday companion you can’t go without: the Neusiedlersee Card is included with every booking and offers a number of fantastic benefits such as full fare and half price on the Mörbisch-Illmitz bike ferry, admission to many cultural sites, and cycling in the tracks of famous TV series “Winzerkönig”.

There are also culinary delights aplenty here: a breakfast buffet for gourmets, half-board dinner with à la Carte or set menu, accompanied by the finest home-grown wines, delicacies served on the spacious Roman terrace with fountain or at the classic Restaurant Rosé.
