The world’s smallest wheat beer brewery
Hausbrauerei Bogner
It all began back on 26 May 1996 on the master brewer’s birthday. While many breweries sometimes measure their production thousands of hectolitres, Brauhaus Bogner makes a comfortable 1000 litres of beer every time it brews.
Master brewer Helmut Bogner attaches great importance to variety and creates six different types of beer on his premises. As what was in the beginning the smallest commercial wheat beer brewery in the world, this is naturally a challenge. Alongside classics such as lager and wheat beer, he now brews a natural cloudy Zwickl beer and a dark beer.
As master brewer he is naturally very connected to his region, which is why he only uses ingredients from the region to produce it. In summer in particular the thirst of the beer lovers is often greater than the production. Ifyou would like to get your own impression of the brewery, Mr. Bogner will be happy to guide you through his sacred halls in the beautiful Braunau district of Haselbach, directly on the River Inn Cycle Trail if time permits. The finest Innviertel delicacies are also offered and can be enjoyed in the traditional beer garden or right next to the brewing kettle.
